State of the judiciary ? Don’t bother. We can read it on JCW.

Okay, so we took some liberties with the title but the bottom line is this: June 30th is fast approaching, less than a week away. TCS had delayed her state of the judiciary speech in January to hammer out a budget. Now the word is that the state legislature is delaying the state of the judiciary speech so that they can… you guessed it…. hammer out a budget.

Legislators have a tough week ahead of them in light of Governor Brown’s veto. While the legislature attempts to hammer out a budget so that they can resume getting paid, the last thing they want to do is give one of the many competing constituencies for scarce public funds a soapbox in the midst of negotiations.

The message seems to be that they can wait until January. Besides, they can read all about the state of the Judiciary right here on Judicial Council Watcher and cut through all of the bullshit.

It appears she’s being snubbed…….
