It took me a bit longer to confirm than I anticipated-
The Joint Legislative Audit Committee and the Assembly Budget Subcommittee will be holding a joint oversight hearing on the auditor’s findings and report on the Administrative Office of the Courts: The Statewide Case Management Project Faces Significant Challenges Due to Poor Project Management.
Date, time, and place of the hearing:
Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 10:00 am in room 4202, State Capitol, Sacramento.
Mr. Vickery is questioning the legislative authority to summon him to the whipping boy post on such short notice. We’re aware of the history behind the short notice. When the AOC attended its first Assembly Committee on Accountability & Administrative Review hearing, Mr. Bill and the judicial council summoned every supportive mouthpiece they could find and they all showed up, flying in to Sacramento from all over the state. Boy was that a swell use of taxpayer funds.
The legislature wishes to avoid the AOC emptying courtrooms for the AOC’s benefit in the future and if Mr. Bill wishes to avoid going to the hearing, his resignation would be a publicly appreciated excuse.
JCW will also be sending a representative to the hearing to cover the story.
